Sofia The First: The Curse of Princess Ivy

Royal Sisters to the Rescue! Sponsored Review

By Brooke Frizzell November 26, 2014

The sounds of laughter and shrieks of delight filled the room as North Lake Macaroni Kid hosted a movie premiere for the popular, Sofia the First: The Curse of Princess Ivy which will debut on Sunday, November 23 at 7:00 pm on the Disney Channel. The children arrived dressed in their adorable Sofia gowns and outfits. Upon entering the party, they donned Sofia Tiaras and sat down for a Sofia Tea Party with adorable activity place mats and coordinating stickers that were fit for a princess. The girls enjoyed celebrating what it truly means to be a princess – from being kind, compassionate and caring to curious, adventurous and courageous!

As soon as the movie began, the girls were "glued" to the screen and could not get enough of Sofia and her friends.  While watching they saw that Sofia shares the secret of her magical amulet with her sister, Amber.  Her sister was thrilled to learn about the powers of the amazing amulet. Amber is very jealous about the amulet she brings Princess Ivy and her butterflies to Enchancia. The curse of Princess Ivy turns Enchancia to black and white instead of its normally bright and colorful display. In the end, Sofia  and Amber work together to restore Enchancia and to rid the kingdom of Princess Ivy. The children were delighted with the surprise appearance of the ever popular Rapunzel from the movie Tangled.

The girls enjoyed the movie so much that we were begged to allow them to watch it a second time before the party ended. Not only did they watch it a second time, but they were also all ready to tune in to the Disney Channel on November 23 at 7pm to enjoy the movie again!
