On Wednesday May 27th, we want to bring LEASH, Junior to the homes of our amazing Junior Volunteers. Since we can’t do our usual School Road Show or have you visit the Lake County Animal Shelter, we are going to bring the program to you. All you have to do is log on to LEASH, JR. and sign up.
We have lots of fun things planned for our LEASH, Jr. FB Home Edition. We will give you a virtual VIP tour of the Lake County Animal Shelter, play a game or two, learn all about dog and cat care, and create a really neat dog toy using a water bottle, dry dog food, and a sock. We are also hoping some of our pets can make a special appearance.
We are keeping our fingers crossed that by the summer, Lake County Animal Services will once again welcome LEASH, Jr. Volunteers to the shelter. The shelter pets and our PAWS Therapy pups miss you very much. Whether LEASH, JR is on the road, at the shelter, or at home, the students (ages 6-18) of Lake County are learning at an early age how important it is to volunteer, care for your pets, and spread the word to adopt, not shop for your furever pet.
