Our Experience on the Polar Express!

By Alysa Hritzik & Amy McCrory, Publishers, North Lake Macaroni Kid November 22, 2019

If you're ready to get in the holiday spirit with a fun family-friendly activity, then definitely catch a ride on the Polar Express out of downtown Eustis! This magical experience took us to the North Pole on board an actual train ride that recreated THE POLAR EXPRESS™ movie. We had our golden tickets punched by the conductor, experienced the dancing chefs who served cocoa and a cookie, interacted with the hobo and other characters from the movie, and enjoyed a reading of the classic children’s book THE POLAR EXPRESS™ by Chris Van Allsburg.

Upon arrival at the North Pole, Santa Claus and his elves climbed aboard and visited each family. Every child received a silver bell from Santa’s sleigh as the first gift of Christmas and after some fun and interactive Christmas caroling, we returned to Eustis and reality filled with the Christmas spirit!

Our kids wore their favorite Christmas pajamas just like the kids in the movie and the whole ride took about an hour. They LOVED it!

The train ride offers three levels of seating ranging in price from $48 / ticket to $88 / ticket. We rode in the Custom Coach Class with super comfy seats. First Class offers luxury seating with tables between the four seats facing each other. Honestly, anywhere on the train is a wonderful seat and the exact same show and treats so if you want to have fun and not hurt the budget, go Coach Class with no worries.

Downtown Eustis is fully decorated with lights for the holidays and the entire experience, from parking to the photo ops in the ticket tent, to the train ride, is delightful for all ages. So go take a ride to the North Pole and let us know how much you loved the experience!
