It is officially summer break and time to spend most our days in or near water or else risk heat stroke, right?! Well, here is my kid-approved list of several local water spots worth exploring:
100 E. Ruby Street
This fun seaplane themed splash park includes two small water slides. Covered picnic gazebos and the Wooton Wonderland playground are located adjacent to the Splash Park.
7 Days a Week, 10:00AM – 6:00PM
$2 for anyone entering the Splash Pad fenced areas.
$15 for each Seasonal Pass for bona fide City residents.
Seasonal passes are available for purchase at City Hall, Customer Service Desk, 1st Floor.
The Splash Park may be closed due to thunderstorms or other weather conditions.
Maximum capacity is 59 people. First come first served.
250 Ferran Park Dr.
Pool & Splash Pad - $3 per person, per visit.
Monday - Friday
11:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
*Wednesdays - Summer Camp (11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.) expect this day to be crowded and at/near capacity
Saturday
11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
Sunday
CLOSED
Admission includes use of pool and splash pad. This time is for individuals who want to leisure swim, play, float, water jog, sunbathe, read, or lounge.
201 E. Dixie Ave. in Leesburg
The Venetian Gardens Splash Pad and Pavilion is located next to the Kids Korner playground. All day admission is $2 per person and 2 yrs and under Free. Through summer, the splash pad will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
Waterfront Park / Champions Splash Park
100 Third Street in Clermont
Waterfront Park is located along Lake Minneola and features a white sand beach for swimming in the lake. A fitness trail that is part of a 30-mile system, and will be part of the coast-to-coast trail, runs through the park.
Champions Splash Park is also located in Waterfront Park. Admission is $2 and the park is open 10am - 6pm Monday thru Thursday and 10am - 5pm Friday thru Sunday.
