My Experience With Clothes Mentor

By Joanna Smitherman, Local Artist and Mom March 14, 2019

I had a friend who had a blast getting a new wardrobe at Clothes Mentor ( a consignment shop) with a FREE personal shopper last year and I new it was something I wanted to try in the new year.

I went online to their website(https://www.clothesmentor.com) and filled out a form giving information about my size, height, my taste in clothes and any further information they may need to know about me.

My info: size 8, 5’2 (on a good day), taste in clothes is relaxed hippie, and added I am a mom of 2 little ones so i need it be worn at a playground and also for a  night out with my husband.

I received an email that day saying my information was received and a phone call the next day to schedule a time to come in. I picked a morning appointment after I dropped off the kids at school.

When I came into the store I was greeted by the employees and shown a rack of clothes personal picked out for me that included shoes and accessories. I felt like a celebrity with a personal shopper, having pictures taken of me in my favorite outfits, and getting fashion advice. This store has clothes for mothers-to-be to older women that are lightly used and name brands so you are getting a great deal in the end.

The clothes they picked out for me were perfect! There were some clothes I would have never chosen for myself but were amazing on like nude high heals and bright color pants. In the end I purchased several of the outfits presented to me and joined the rewards program to get money off the next time I shop with them. If you already have name brand clothes you no longer wear bring in into the shop to get money or store credit towards something you would love to have. If you go to the Ocoee location in the same shopping center there is a Once Upon a child (children's consignment) and Plato's Closet ( teen/young adult consignment) there so you can also shop for your children at any age in one place.
