Gilbert Park in Mt. Dora Is Kid Approved.

By Amy McCrory February 7, 2019

Doesn't every kid love to climb? I know mine do! Thankfully, there are an abundance of cool ropes to climb at the newly renovated Gilbert Park in Mt. Dora! Don’t worry, the preschool area is still there, but the 5-12 year old area is super cool!

The Ship!

The pirate ship is full of ropes to climb, slides, peep holes, rock walls and much more! There are 2 stories to the pirate ship and I will say, it was hard to spot my little guy when he was up top, but he could pop over the side and give me a wave.

Swings!

Swinging is always a kid favorite. The two large round “spider web” swings were the hit. We didn’t have a chance to jump on, but it made me want one for our house even more!

Climbing!

My son’s favorite part was the rope climbing. He would have climbed around on the structure for hours.

Balance Beam

He couldn’t stop laughing at himself trying to balance.

Overall, we love this park and we plan to frequent it! Maybe we should even have a Macaroni Kid Play Date soon! So take advantage of this gorgeous weather and head over to check it out. It would be a GREAT place to host a pirate-themed birthday party! Make sure to let us know what you think!
