I, just like most moms, have hit the busy time of the year. I feel like I have been going non-stop since school started last month. We are constantly running from school, to extracurricular activity, to home, and back out again.
During all of this busy time each day, I must remember to take a moment to breathe and enjoy the moment. I remind myself to stop for a minute and snap a quick picture of the kids as they practice their soccer dribbling, sit down and color a picture with one of the kids, smile at teachers at the kids' school that I pass in the hall as I head down to the classroom to volunteer, etc. The list could go on and on to touch on various parts of our lives where we need to remember to stop, take a minute, and just embrace the busy schedule that we maintain.
I often think back to a quote that I once heard about life with young children. "The days are long, but the years are short!" This quote speaks the truth. It seems like yesterday that my children were babies and now they are all in school. Although, it seems like an eternity ago that I woke up this morning and got started on our daily routine.
Take a moment, breathe in and out and don't forget to ENJOY!
