5th Annual Be A PlayerTM Event at First Presbyterian Church of Eustis

sponsored

July 15, 2016

On July 23, 2016 the First Presbyterian Church of Eustis will once again open our facility to students from the surrounding communities for the fifth annual Be A PlayerTM  event.

We will be providing the required school and athletic physicals to students from kindergarten through twelfth grade at absolutely no cost. In addition to a physical performed by local, licensed physicians, students will receive vision and dental screenings, height/weight measurements and blood pressure assessments. Information about healthy nutrition will be available. We will even have a doctor of physical therapy on site to give instruction on proper exercise.

The Central Florida Zoo will be with us once again with a great display of animals and our youth rooms will be open for video games and movies during the wait times. All student participants will receive a free lunch as well as a few small gifts. We will also be giving away a brand new bike this year to one of our participants!!

Why do we do this?

Because at First Presbyterian Church, we know that if we KNOW Jesus, we need to SHOW Jesus! This is an opportunity for all of us to show the love of Christ with children of all ages and with the adults who bring them. We don’t put this on to win members or to have a spot in the newspaper, but because God calls us to love His people and to share the resources that we have. On the practical side, health services like what we will offer that day cost an average of $75 per child. Many families find it hard to meet this cost, but at Be A PlayerTM these services are performed at no cost to anyone.

Those who pre-register online will receive an extra ticket for the bicycle drawing! Those who attended last year and bring a new participant will also receive an extra ticket!!

Remember, Students MUST have a parent or legal guardian present!!! Although we do our best to complete your child's physical quickly, you should plan to spend about 2 hours at our event.
